West Berkshire Museum: Archaeology Trail and Craft packs

Has a physical 'on the ground' location

If you visit us at West Berkshire Museum during the Festival of Archaeology, to explore the exhibitions or to do the free ‘Archaeology Trail’, you can also purchase three different Roman-themed craft packs from the Museum shop!

We have a craft pack that was inspired by one of our online crafts to make a Roman centurion. Each craft pack costs £1 and contains everything you need (apart from scissors and glue) to make a soldier: printed instructions; a wooden clothes peg; felt; pipe cleaners; and aluminium foil. Stock is limited so when it’s gone, it’s gone!

You can also purchase a Roman finger puppets craft pack (while stocks last). Each craft pack costs 50p and contains 6 pre-cut card finger puppets of Roman characters (assorted) and three felt tip pens (assorted colours) to colour them in.

We also have another craft pack to purchase, which is to make a Roman-inspired catapult. Each craft pack costs £1 and contains everything you need to make a simple catapult and tissue paper projectiles, including printed instructions, a wooden teaspoon, lolly sticks, elastic bands as well as two felt tip pens (assorted colours) to colour in when complete. Stock is limited so when it’s gone, it’s gone!
