Royal Victoria Hospital Heritage Trail

Has a physical 'on the ground' location

Purchase a copy of the Royal Victoria Hospital Heritage Trail booklet from the Royal Victoria Chapel and explore this historic site at your own pace.

The Royal Victoria Hospital was a military hospital in use for about 100 years from 1863, including through both world wars. The main hospital building was demolished in 1966, leaving just the chapel, which is now a heritage centre. This circular walk takes you around the former hospital site, now a beautiful country park, to discover the history of the hospital and the role it played in treating the wounded and sick.
